Coming Soon: THE IMPOSSIBLE RETURN TO INNOCENCE by J.D. Clair

On March 1st, 2016 is my first published work of fiction under the author name J.D. Clair. I'm incredibly proud of this story and the world it creates for the reader.  I would like to answer some of the common questions.

WHAT IS THE IMPOSSIBLE RETURN TO INNOCENCE ABOUT?

The Impossible Return to Innocence is a threshold tale; much like Alice in Wonderland, or The Wizard of Oz. Seventeen year old Dominick is pulled into The Furtherland, a place filled with monsters and men, all of which seem to mirror his childhood tragedy. At first all he wants to do is go home, but his passion for leaving is surpassed by a desire for revenge as he chases a folk villain he blames for bringing him to the Furtherland and killing a friend.

HOW LONG IS THE IMPOSSIBLE RETURN TO INNOCENCE?

The book is a novella at roughly 35,000 words spanning 220 pages. I would compare its length to A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. A reader should be able to finish in a few hours.

WHAT GENRE IS THE IMPOSSIBLE RETURN TO INNOCENCE?

This is a Young-Adult Fantasy-Adventure and Thriller with elements of romance. I would like to say it is similar to The Time Machine by H.G. Wells.

While the overall story is accessible for all ages, there are some intense themes and violence, set around an act of abuse on a child, as well as mental disorders.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

I really wanted the book to be affordable so the publisher and I agreed upon a cover price of $15.99.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL IT BE AVAILABLE

The Impossible Return to Innocence will be officially released on March 1st, but will be available for pre-order the week leading up to release. It will for sure be sold on Amazon and possibly at Barnes & Nobel.
